Bookmobile 75: Borough Park Library Celebrates

Join us at The Fort Hamilton Avenue Parkway D-Train Station to celebrate 75 Years of Bookmobile Service at Brooklyn Public Library! There will be giveaways, activities, and our friend and Singer Erin Lee will be performing! As always, Check out books, get a new library card, renew your library card and connect with Borough Park staff about programs we're holding in the community. 2026 marks 75 years of Bookmobile service at Brooklyn Public Library: delivering books, resources, and programs to neighborhoods across our Borough. We invite you to help us celebrate this milestone. On Saturday, May 16, the Bookmobile will make eight stops throughout the borough for a special one-day event. Visitors can enjoy library programming, light entertainment, and refreshments as we recognize the Bookmobile’s long-standing role in our communities. Those with a BPL library card can receive a free cookie or giveaway, courtesy of our community partners. Not a cardholder yet? You’re welcome to sign up on-site, enjoy a giveaway, and take part in the celebration. Join us in your neighborhood as we reflect on 75 years of service—and look ahead to many more.
