Discover 2,582+ free kids events happening across 421 venues in all 5 NYC boroughs. We pull from 14 sources daily — public libraries, children's museums, parks, and community centers — so you never miss a free storytime, workshop, or family program near you.
Tap "My Location" to sort events by distance, or browse by time filter to see what's happening right now, in the next hour, or later today. Every event is free and family-friendly.
- How does the 'Near Me' map work?
- The map uses your device's location (with your permission) to find free kids events sorted by distance. You can also browse without sharing your location — it defaults to Midtown Manhattan.
- What kinds of free kids events are listed?
- We aggregate free events from NYC public libraries (NYPL, BPL, QPL), museums (CMOM, Brooklyn Children's Museum, MoMA, Staten Island Children's Museum), parks (NYC Parks, Brooklyn Bridge Park), and community organizations across all 5 boroughs.
- How often are events updated?
- Our scrapers run daily at 6 AM ET to collect new events from all sources. The map always shows the latest available events.
- Can I filter events by my child's age?
- Yes! Use the age filter at the top of the map to show only events appropriate for your child's age group: 0–1, 1–3, 3–5, or 5–12.
- What time filters are available?
- You can filter by Now (happening or starting within the hour), Today, Tomorrow (great for planning), or This Week to see everything coming up in the next 7 days.
- What does the radius filter do?
- The radius filter limits results to events within 1, 2, 3, 5, or 10 miles of your location. The default is 3 miles.
