Faith-Based Organization Housing Development Class - HPD and Office of Attorney General
In recent years NYC has seen increased interest in developing affordable housing on land owned by faith-based organizations (FBOs) and other mission-driven organizations (MDOs). These series of classes are designed to walk participants step-by-step through the development process and help them establish necessary connections within relevant government agencies. \n Our goal is to educate FBOs about the housing development process, explain how City agencies are involved in that process, outline what to expect when working with various City agencies, and provide support and available resources. \n \n \n What should I be thinking about as I start on this project? \n \n \n What are the potential benefits of developing affordable housing for my institution and my wider community?
