Youth will explore the art of Hip Hop, including songwriting, freestyle, rap, poetry, beat-making, and using an Afro-Peruvian drum called the Cajon. This experience will provide a creative space for youth to share personal stories through art and consider the role of art in mental health, wellness, and justice. Participants will also explore transferable life skills embedded within the art, such as communication, collaboration, innovation, and creativity.
