Volunteer Day: Family Community Garden Manhattan
GreenThumb community gardens are developed, led, and cared for by dedicated volunteer gardeners who critically upkeep them as public green spaces. Family Community Garden Manhattan is a small garden nestled in East Harlem that is seeking volunteers and any interested potential garden members to join the space for our EarthMonth Volunteer days on April 11th and\/or April 25th! Join Family Community Gardeners and GreenThumb Staff for a hands-on Volunteer Day to prep the space for the planting of a mini pollinator garden! We will be restoring a brick planting area, spreading soil, and building a metal bed for future planting. Join us in a day of service in celebration of EarthMonth! Beginners are welcome! No prior experience necessary. This is a great opportunity to support a dynamic community space while learning about pollinators.
