Meet up at Thomas Jefferson Park in Harlem and enjoy a scenic ride along the riverfront and through the park, ending at the Festival! Prospect Farm's Annual Earth Day!
Come to Prospect Farm for the garden group's annual Earth Day celebration on Saturday, April 18th! Local band Protectors of the Wood will be performing original music! We will have a bake sale, yard sale, and plant swap with all proceeds going towards the garden. There will also be arts & crafts activities for all ages (e.g. potato stamping, egg carton seeding), loose-leaf tea blending, a compost giveaway, and tours around our garden including native plant species. We are so excited to welcome members, neighbors, and new friends, especially since our garden is in the process of becoming an official Parks Department community garden! At Gerritsen Beach Library, enjoy stories, songs, and rhymes for children birth to 5 years and participating caregivers. At this special storytime, we will read books that celebrate our planet and discuss climate change in age appropriate ways.
Toddler Time: Earth Day Storytime!
Read books, sing songs, learn fingerplays, and play with other toddlers and caregivers! This is a special afternoon edition of Toddler Time that will be focusing on an Earth Day theme! Geared towards toddlers 18-36 months. Grownups, please read! Space is limited and registration is required. NEW: Regisration opens 48HR before the program. There is no waitlist for the program. There are two program time options so that more people can attend the program. Please only sign up for ONE program per week. Please check in at the programming room door when you arrive. The storytime room will open 5 minutes before the program begins. If your child is antsy or crying, you are welcome to take a break and return to the program room when your child has calmed down. Please be courteous to others in the class, participate in the songs and rhymes, and keep conversation to a minimum. There is a ten minute grace period and then no late comers will be permitted.

At 11:30am families can enjoy a story time program in the Gund Theater, all ages welcome. We will be celebrating Earth Day with a reading of In Our Garden by Pat Zietlow Miller. Registration not required. Wave Hill House is wheelchair-accessible. There is an accessible, ground-level entrance at the front of the building with a power-assist door. The restroom on the ground level is all-gender and ADA-compliant. Additional ADA-compliant restrooms are available on the lower level, which can be accessed by elevator.

Bronx River Open House
Join us at the Bronx River Open House to celebrate Earth Day on Saturday, April 25, from 12p-4pm! Pollinator Puppet Making with Esther Crow
Join us in person at the Tremont Library for this special program inspired by Earth Day. Earth Day Spring Spruce-Up
Join the Greenbelt Conservation Corps in preparing our campus for spring. Volunteers will help prep our pollinator gardens for another year of spring and summer blooms. We will also be sprucing up tree beds and removing invasive plants along the N trails. Wear sturdy shoes and clothes that will get a bit dirty as you work. We will provide gloves and tools for this GCC event. The Greenbelt Conservation Corps is sponsored by conEdison.
